Every Friday, at The Soundx we will pick some new releases, based on quality or importance, which ones you should listen to throughout the week. This week we have releases from Griff, H.E.R., Kings of Convenience, Francis Lung, and Tigercub.
Griff – One Foot In Front Of The Other
One Foot in Front of the Other is the first mixtape by British singer-songwriter Griff. In 2019, she debuted with her first single, “Mirror Talk,” from her first EP of the same name. In March 2021 she won Brit Award for Rising Star and performed One Foot In Front Of The Other’s lead single, “Black Hole.” The project is released via Warner Records.
H.E.R. – Back Of My Mind
After five years of waiting, H.E.R. releases her first album, Back of My Mind. The album arrives through MBK Entertainment and RCA and features 21 songs, including the singles “Slide” and “Damage” and guest appearances from Chris Brown, DJ Khaled, Ty Dolla $ign, and Lil Baby.
Kings of Convenience – Peace Or Love
Peace or Love is the Kings of Convenience’s first album since 2009’s Declaration of Dependence. The first record in 12 years by the Norwegian duo formed by Erik Glambek Bøe and Erlend Øye’s has 11 new tracks, of which two features Canadian singer Feist. The album is released via EMI.
Francis Lung – Miracle
WU LYF former member Francis Lung’s second solo album, Miracle, arrives via Memphis Industries. It was recorded in Wales with Brendan Williams and Robin Koob.
Tigercub – As Blue As Indigo
English band Tigerclub’s sophomore album was produced by Adrian Bushby, who previously worked with Foo Fighters and Muse, and Tom Dalgety, who previously worked with Royal Blood. As Blue As Indigo was written over two years and features the single “Beauty.”
